Retro Sketches, Runway Inspired, and Paper Smooches Sparks

I'm back today with two new cards for a few different challenges.  I've been in a bit of a crafting funk lately, but leave it to the trusty ladies over at Retro Sketches to come up with a fantastic sketch which inspired me to make my Dad a Father's Day card.  This is the sketch for Retro Sketches Challenge #116

And this is my entry for the challenge

I heat embossed a polka dot pattern with clear embossing powder to give the background some texture.  I finally used my Memory Box small Marianna vine outline die to cut some leaves out of contrasting green cardstock.  I die cut a circle from Neenah Solar White Cardstock to make a frame and popped it up using foam squares.  I printed a vellum banner to finish off the card.

For my second card of the day, I combined the Runway Inspired Challenge #60 with the Paper Smooches Designer Drafts Challenge.  Here are the sketches

And this is my card

I used the zipper die from Papertrey Ink so that the recipient can find a surprise Birthday greeting underneath.  The stamp is from Paper Smooches and the sequins are from Neat and Tangled.  I still don't know the brand of cardstock I've been using for my cards, but I think it's a mixture of Die Cuts with a View and Bazzill.

That's all for now, thanks for visiting and have a great rest of your week!
